How to control bleed through?
If you have a dark wood and think, the wood/tannin may bleed through. Then, do not forget to prime your piece. We recommend Zinsser BIN, however any shellac based primer will work.

Preferred drying time is 2 – 4 hours. However, you may apply 2nd coat after an hour.
Is clay paint for furniture painting ?
Blue Rock Paint is a clay paint with some mineral content in it, which can be used to paint anything wood. You can paint new or old pieces made of wood with Blue Rock Paint.
How do you apply Blue Rock Paint?
Blue Rock Paint is a thick paint, due to it’s clay content, which means a little goes a long way. The longer the lid stays off the thicker it will get. If you like a thinner look just add a little water and stir. Clean the item you want to paint with any wood cleaner, take a damp brush (you can use a chip brush, special brushes designed for clay painting or whatever brush you like to work with ) and paint a thin coat. It will dry very quickly. Some items will need a second coat so after about an hour add another coat.
