Coverage Guide
Best for calculating your exact coverage needs.
- Step 1: Measure the width of your item in inches and then multiply times the height.
- Step 2. Multiply the width and height of all sides to be coated (including the top).
- Step 3: Add all of these totals together and divide by 144 to determine the total square feet you will need to cover.
You may need to apply 1-2 coats for maximum coverage, depending on the color and desired look. For example lighter colours may require 2 coats, while dark and muted colors may only require 1 coat. However, it depends upon your painting style, some people can cover more area than others.
As a rough guide, 32 Ounces of Blue Rock Paint covers approximately 150 square feet, or the equivalent of a a complete bed set or a small accent wall. For most purposes, one coat of paint is enough.
